IDK if my best friend whose a guy likes me... (i'm a guy)?

Ok so here's the deal. We were freshman roommates and we are best friends. Last year we got drunk and he took off all his clothes one night and crawled into my bed. I pulled him out of bed and told him to put clothes on. He laid on top of me and i pushed him off. then he went and got sick. cute right? anyways he doesn't remember. We snuggle about at least once a week mostly intoxicated but still sometimes sober. on my futon or in his twin bed. we are now sopres and no longer roommates so he stays over or I will stay over there. When he gets upset he holds my hand and he constantly hits me just as a friend thing you know? but like idk. Anyways in February we got drunk and my hand just fell on his crotch. i ended up caressing him and then i unoned his pants. That continued for about 2 minutes then I asked if i could kiss him and he said no and then said we needed to stop. we talked about it. he says he doesn't know why that happened but that it wont happen again and neither or us are out of the closet i don't know if he is even in the closet but we still sleep in the same twin bed together at least once a week. Does he like me? is he gay and in denial? IDK WHATS GOING ON!
