Do liberals really know what they are asking for?

Or are they just infatuated with the romanticizing of socialism and communism? Surely one would think that if liberals got what they really asked for even they would be singing the blues. So my question is not one of indictment, but of shear bewilderment as to why they favor what they espouse and believe in. They support a large federal government that doles out entitlements,yet decry capitalism. So then, logic would have it that eventually there will be no business, which means no jobs, which means more people seeking istance, but where will the money come from? Where will taxes come from when no one is working? Or is it a case of "someone else will have to suffer, but it won't be me" Much like how we become desensitized to certain things, violence etc.. Have liberals become desensitized to cold reality? Clinging to a fairy tale? If so then they are in for a harsh awakening. There will be no quarter when the system collapses, it won't matter who you voted for our what you believed in. What will they do then?
