Is it hard to raise pet sharks?

the little ones.. Like a bala, or redtail?? Can they live together?(different breeds) what breeds are out there? And can I put a silver tip tetra or a dwarf gourami in with it/them? How big of a tank would I need, and what kind of stuff and food? Tell me breeds of shark and if they can live with other fish please! Thanks!!
