Recent burgularies in my neighborhood?

Dogs are MINT!!! there is nothing like a dog to protect the homestead. that and motion detector lights. also, if you are handy, reinforce the doorframe behind the strikeplate. deadbolts are great, but only if the frame does not give way. i recomend a piece of steel, as little as 1/8" thick, by 1/2", by 8" long. all the burglaries i used to go to, that would have made the difference.
